GOLD AGAIN!

Island Street Porter has won another Gold, this time as a 2021 European Beer Challenge winner. These prestigious awards were held in April at The London County Hall under the historic gaze of the London Eye. Judges included senior representatives of Bibendum, AleHunters plc, and Claridges Hotel.

EBC Judge, Alexios Stasinopoulos commented, “The European Beer Challenge judging experience is extremely well organised, with a panel full of judges at the top of their game. We share knowledge with the best interest of brewers and the Industry.”  Accredited Beer Sommelier Paul Davies added, “Judging at the European Beer Challenge is a privilege. The standard of entries was excellent.”

We’re honoured to win a gold for our popular and multi award winning Island Street Porter. Inspired by Salcombe’s Island Street’s boat builders, this handcrafted, rich, velvety porter has a blend of eight malts to produce hints of dark chocolate, coffee and black cherry which combined with British hops, creates an aroma reminiscent of Black Forest gateaux.
